WIN! Oxford’s History in Books

This spring sees two releases from the Bodleian Library’s Publishing imprint: Oxford University, Stories from the Archives by Alice Blackford Millea, Assistant Keeper of the Archives, presents 52 stories– spanning over 800 years – from the institutional archives of the University; shedding light of relations with monarchs and governments, the effects of war and student behaviour.

The History Heart of Oxford University by Geoffrey Tyack, Emeritus Fellow of Kellogg College and President of the Oxfordshire Architectural and Historical Society, is an accessible and well-illustrated account of the growth of the University’s intellectual and institutional life, broadening out to explore themes in architectural and urban history.
